Filippos’ experience includes hedge fund management, investment management, ship management, new business development, and seeding and supervising the start-up of new ventures.

Filippos began his professional career with Longview Partners, a specialist global equity investment firm. Following this, Filippos worked at Prusik Management, a long-only absolute return fund focused on Asian equities. Today, Filippos is the CEO of N. S. Lemos & Co. Ltd., the London agent of Enesel S.A. N.S. Lemos & Co. Ltd. provides chartering, sale and purchase, consultancy and insurance services to Enesel S.A. In his current role and in collaboration with his brother Andonis, Filippos was responsible, inter alia, for the acquisition and long-term chartering of circa USD 1.5 billion of ultra large container ships in conjunction with the arrangement of circa USD 1.1 billion of senior secured facilities from bank lenders across both Asia and Europe, as well as Korean export credit agencies.

Filippos is a Founding Partner and member of the Investment Recommendations Committee of Ekistics. He is also a Founder of Doxa Advisors SAM, a Monaco-based and privately-held asset management firm, and a Founding Partner of Avra International Pte. Ltd., a fully integrated physical commodity trading firm which is currently one of the largest independent traders of thermal coal in Indonesia as well as a substantial trader of chrome from Africa. Further, Filippos is a member of the Boards of each of the Hellenic War Risks Association and the Greek Shipowners Cooperation Committee.

Filippos holds an M.A. (Hons) degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. Prior to his studies, Filippos spent six weeks of sea time onboard an Aframax tanker and eight weeks’ experience with Enesel S.A.’s site team at CSBC Kaohsiung shipyard in Taiwan.
